Assignment criteria
Your final work must contain:
1. Your chosen or original setting.
2. Your own original character
3. An essay on your character's motivation
4. An outline of your story
5. Research
6. Your completed story.
Additional criteria
– Original setting
If you have chosen to create an original setting you are required to hand in said setting on the FIRST deadline as it needs to be checked by the teacher in question before you proceed to the other assignments.
– Chosen setting
Copy pasting the chosen setting from the web page will result in automatic failure of the assignment.
– Multiple characters
You are only required to hand in the schematic for ONE original character, if your story contains two or multiple characters, you are not required to hand in the assignment multiple times.
– Essay minimum.
The minimum amount of words for the essay is 600. The maximum amount is 1200. The words will be counted and if the number is found to be below 600 or above 1200 you will automatically fail the assignment.
- Research.
Wikipedia does not count as research.
– Spelling.
This assignment is assessed by creativity and form, so spelling mistakes are tolerated to some extent, however if errors are too frequent, cause confusion or disrupt the story, points will be deducted from your final grade.
- Completed story.
Your completed story does NOT have a minimum or maximum of words. Write as much or as little that you feel is needed to do your story justice. Be mindful that if the story is lacking in substance and a conclusion can be made that you have invested too little time in it, points will be deducted.
- Deadline.
All individual assignments must be sent to the teacher in question BEFORE you start your final project. Your final project will not be checked if the previous assignments are not handed in by the final deadline of
