Story outlineBefore you can get started with writing you need to know what you're going to write and what you're going to work towards. It's easy to get turned around in your own story and winding up in a completely different place than you had intended. This in itself is not a bad thing, but it can lead to confusion in the story or focus on unnecessary information. If you intended your character to die at the end of the story, and you've left clues and foreshadowing through out the story, and in the end you decide to keep them alive anyway, it can interfere with the consistency of the story, and leave the reader disappointed or unsatisfied. Enforcing this feeling on the reader may be intended, but to best achieve your goal it is best to plan ahead. The easiest way to plan out your story is by writing a decent outline. A story outline is different from one you might use to write an essay. To the right you'll find a few ready to use templates to make your job a little easier. At the end you'll find a template that's already filled in with the storyline with a well known fairy tale, Cinderella. Write out your story line via one of them templates or create your own. Hand it in by email at the end of the corresponding week [--,--,--] |
